Twitter Direct and Private Messages.

The most important feature of Twitter is its Messages. The messages in the twitter depends upon to whom you want to message. There are two types of people in your lists, one is the people to whom you are following and the people they follow you i.e your followers.

The messages are also divided according to your lists. The people to whom you are following cannot be message directly from the above sub menu of your profile, instead of that you have to tweet them by just adding the sign "@" before their name and the tweet will posts on their notification to whom you had posted the messages.

The Followers can be message as a direct message and their messages will be shown in their inbox, so it is easily one  can communicate with you. For the person you are following if you forget to put "@" sign before their name your tweet will be posted as public and anyone on the twitter can see your messages.

If the person to whom you are following is also your follower then you have the option either to tweet him as a message by putting "@" sign before his name or you can directly message to him as a private message.

Though twitter on its path is following the messages for the followers and the following is slightly tricky but if one get acquaint with these features of Twitter then there is no problem for him to face to posts the messages on the twitter.
